My earliest known Carroll ancestor, Luke was born in Ireland, immigrated to the United States (probably the colonies then) Then moved up to Canada (known as British America at that time). His earliest documentation was that he lived in Welland, Ontario during the War of 1812. He died in 1836 and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Thorold, Ontario.
