Reba J. Hatcher, 34, of Comfort, WV, was a victim of a murder suicide.

Reba J. Hatcher, 34, of Comfort, died Jan. 2, 2014, at home.
She was an employee of Little General Exxon, Comfort, and was a 1999 graduate of Sherman High School, Seth.

She was preceded in death by parents, Stephen Lee and Reba Jean Adkins Stamper; maternal grandparents, Henry and Emma Adkins; paternal grandparents, John and Lillian Stamper; and niece, Hayden Castle.

Surviving are her daughter, Emma Johnson of Comfort; son, Bobby Hatcher of Comfort; sister, Stephanie (James Short) Halstead of Charleston; nieces, Emily and Elizabeth Halstead and Madison Castle; nephew, Stephen Bolinger; uncle and aunt, David and Nancy Adkins and children of Cooperstown; special friend, Bobby Davis of Racine; best friend, Shawna McNeely of Logan County; and a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Toneys Branch Freewill Baptist Church, Bloomingrose, with the Rev. Roger Halstead officiating. Burial will follow in Ferrell Cemetery, Joes Creek.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church.

Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, is in charge of arrangements.
