Stephen Lee Stamper, 59, of Hernshaw suddenly departed this life January 17, 2011 at home.

He was a Security Guard for Penn-Virginia in Chesapeake.

He was born December 25, 1951 in Cabin Creek to the late John and Lillian Green Stamper. Also preceding him in death were his Wife of 29 years: Reba Jean Adkins Stamper in 2008, Sister: Donna Pettry and Infant Granddaughter: Hayden Castle,

Surviving Are:

Daughters: Reba Hatcher (Bobby) of Joes Creek and

Stephanie Halstead (James Castle) of Hernshaw,

Grandchildren: Emily and Elizabeth Halstead,

Emma Johnson and Bobby Hatcher and

Madison Castle

Brother: Ronnie Stamper of Eskdale,

Sisters: Bonita Hamilton of Eskdale and

Brenda Goodwin (Thomas) of Vinton, OH

Special Mother in Law: Emma Adkins of Joes Creek,

Special Brother in law: David Adkins of Toneys Branch and

Many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and Friends.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday January 22, 2011 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, WV with Pastor Robert Perdue, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Ferrell Cemetery, Joes Creek. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
