Died very poverty stricken in Winston, Daviess County MO.. Wife hospitalized from typhoid. Four of six children taken by the St. Louis Childrens' Home. Wife and eldest son Leroy later moved to Adair County Iowa. Eldest daughter Sadie married A.J. Peterson, moved to Polk County Iowa. Youngest living son "Chrissie" Ray grew up adopted as Ray Davis in Davis family Macon County Missouri. Known as a minister. Last known in Iowa. Information from St. Louis Childrens' Home Society.
