Jane Gwendolin Stults was the daughter of Oren Warren and Margaret Fern PATTON Stults.


SPRINGFIELD - Jane Gwendolyn Stults, 87, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 in Bryan, TX.

She was born on March 1, 1926 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Oren and Margaret Fern (Patton) Stults.

Gwen retired from Franklin Life Ins. Co as the only female computer programmer after 43 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Harvard Park Baptist Church in Springfield.

She is survived by her brother Kenneth Patton (wife Ruth) Stults of Springfield, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Helen Lucretia Blackburn and Mary Margaret Brackett.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 11 am until time of the funeral service at 1 pm at Harvard Park Baptist Church, 2401 S. 9th St., Springfield. Dr. John Charlton will officiate the service. Burial will follow at West Cemetery, Thayer, IL.
