She was the 2nd daughter of Reuben Nelson Farrar and Jewell Hollingsworth Farrar. She was the devoted wife of William Russell Curl, whom she met in 1955. They celebrated 57 years of marriage on December 26, 2013.
She was the mother of four children. Frances was heavily involved the lives of her busy children and grandchildren. Frances was very active in Kirby Woods Baptist Church, where she and Bill had been members for almost 30 years. She loved to spend time in the kitchen, especially with her grandchildren. She loved being ‘Nana.' She loved cooking Saturday morning breakfasts for the family.
She and Bill spent lots of time fishing and boating at their cabin in Pickwick. They enjoyed traveling for Bill's job and took many trips both with and without their children. One of their favorite destinations was Destin, FL. They spent many weeks over the summers deep sea fishing and spending time on the beach.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, William Farrar Curl "Billy" and a grandson Benjamin William Curl.
She is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Anita Curl Goode (Barry) of DeLand, FL, her two sons Robert Lane Curl (Reba), and Donald Lee Curl (Stacy) both of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Farrar Flowers of Camden, TN as well as 9 grandchildren.
Her interment will be at Camden City Cemetery alongside her son and parents.
