Jo Evelyn Phillips, of Nederland, Texas, formerly of Warren, Texas, passed away peacefully unto the Lord on January 8, 2014 to reunite with her husband, Judson Wendell Phillips, who preceded her in death on December 27, 2013.

Born in Sabine, Texas to William Carlton and Elsie Ealer Bumstead Adamson, she lived in Nederland for many years before retiring with her husband to Warren in 1991. She and her husband moved back to Nederland to be closer to family. A member of the First Baptist Church in Warren they loved and served the Lord with the many friends they had in the church.

She is survived by daughters, Donna Sanders, Beverly Edmundson and husband, Jerry; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister Juanita Brown, along with numerous other family members and friends.

Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, Texas.

Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
