Juanita was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Sabine, Texas to Carlton and Elsie Adamson.
Juanita was a 1950 graduate of Nederland High School. She worked in retail prior to a career in education at Nederland Independent School District where she retired after 22 years of service as a teacher's aide.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, William Carlton Adamson and Elsie Ealer Bumstead Adamson, her husband, Otis Hilton Brown; and her sisters, Jo Evelyn Phillips and Nancy Haightand her nephew, James Scott.
Those left behind to cherish Juanita's memory are her son, Henry Brown, goddaughter, Kelly Grogan, god grandchildren, Ty'rion Grogan and My'rrh Grogan, her nieces, Donna Sanders, Beverly Edmundson and Pattilyn Perkins, her nephew, Joe David Scott and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Juanita was a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland as were her parents and grandparents. She served as a Bible study teacher for 3-year olds, sang in The Silvertones Senior Adult Choir and served on the Benevolence Committee providing assistance to those with financial hardships.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11am~1pm, with the funeral to begin at 1pm at First Baptist Church in Nederland.
Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas ~
