Beulah E. Figg, 88, of Dugger, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born July 28, 1914, in Greene County, she was the daughter of William G. and Artie (Whitworth) Overman.
She and her late husband owned and operated Figgs Concessions, which traveled to several fairs in the area for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Dugger.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Garland and Brenda Figg of Linton and Norman and Vicki Figg of Dugger; one daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Max Morin of Linton; two brothers, Orell Overman of Switz City and Lowell Ray Overman of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Figg, in 1991; two brothers, Russell Overman and Patrick Overman; and one sister, Ella Lynn.
Funeral service will be at Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with Bro. Nick Moore and Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow at Woodward Cemetery.
