Morris Blevins was born on June 10, 1825, in Grayson County, Virginia to James and Susan Blevins.
He married Lucinda Elizabeth Farmer in 1850. Morris was 25 & Lucinda was 14. The couple had ten children, but all together produced thirteen.
He was a Civil War veteran and he enlisted on February 1, 1864 at the age of 39.
Morris died on September 7, 1907, at his home in Whitetop, Virginia he lived a long life of 82 years.
