George W. Rothermel
George W. Rothermel, 87, of 605-13th St.,
died at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday in
his residence.
He was born March 5, 1899, in Logansport,
to John and Kathryn Schlosser Rothermel.
He was married June 11, 1919, in Logansport,
to Genevieve Sullivan, who died Dec. 13, 1968.
He was a retired city fireman and Logansport
State Hospital fire chief. He was a member of
All Saints Catholic Parish and the Knights
of Columbus.
Surviving are two daughters, Georgianna
Robinson, Walton, and Carolyn Sue Chassin,
North Canton, Ohio; nine grandchildren,
seven great-grand children and several
nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday
in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with
the Rev. Charles Kline officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday in Kroeger Funeral Home, where a
scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St.
Vincent de Paul Society.
