In 1863 he enlisted (June 26th) as a member of company G, Eleventh OVI, in which he served three years and eighteen days, receiving his honorable discharge. Mr Griffith was a shoemaker living in Jackson township, and married Sarah C Miller on August 3, 1869. Mr Griffith formed a partnership about 1892 with F Baumann, and they have since occupied GRIFFITH & BAUMAN, Manufacturers of Boots and Shoes, South High Street, near Corner Walnut Street. E S Griffith and F Baumann, both were accomplished workmen of many years' experience.
