Mathias (Matt) Muchowski, 55, of 1105 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Leschke Bergner funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was born July 23, 1900, at Sheboygan, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Muchowski. The family later moved to Manitowoc. On June 12, 1923, he married Miss Constance Zigmunt. He was a loft-man for the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., for 33 years and a member of the St. Aloysius Society.

Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs. Arnold Bodart of Manitowoc; two sons, Harold of Albuquerque, N.M. And Eugene of Manitowoc; brother, Ben of Manitowoc; sister, Mrs. Frank Lisner of Chicago; stepsister Mrs. Alfred Wagner of St. Nazianz; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
