RESIDENT OF CITY 61 YEARS DIES MONDAY

Mrs. Mike Nitka, for 61 years, a resident of Manitowoc, died at the family home at 1322 S. Sixteenth street at 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon following an illness of only a week's duration.

Mrs. Nitka was 62 years of age and resided in this vicinity since she was one year old. She was born Josephine Niespodziary on February 21, 1867, and came to this country from Poland with her parents. Forty-three years ago she married Mike Nitka, who with nine children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild survive. Eight of the children are residents of Manitowoc and are Mrs. Frances Kowalski, Mrs. Mary Ziarnik, Mrs. Rose Marenda, Mrs. Agnes Schultz, and John, Joseph, Mike and Theodore Nitka. A fifth daughter, Miss Anna Nitka, is residing at Howe City. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Feltman and Mrs. John Mrotek, bot of this city.

Funeral services will be held at the family home Friday morning at 9 o'clock and later from the St. Mary's church with the Rev. J.M. Pociecha officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Mary's cemetery.
