Roger was born August 1, 1950, in Arkansas City, to John A. and Kathern (Badley) Cook. He was reared and educated in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1969. He also attended Arkansas City Junior College (Cowley College). Roger married Carol Davis on August 8, 1975. She preceded him in death in March of 2000. Roger worked as a stocker for several area grocery stores.
Survivors include his sister Cheryl Ann Ryel; nephews Jason, Jeremy and Joshua Ryel; and four great-nieces Sara, Lucy, Krystal and Jennifer Ryel; plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, and followed closely by his mother.
A memorial has been established to assist with funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
