Bud served as a Sergeant in the Army Company A 187th Engineer Combat Battalion in WWII 1943-45. He was wounded in action 24 March 1945 in the European Theater. Bud was awarded the European-African Middle Eastern Theater Medal with two Bronze Battle Stars, a Purple Heart, A Silver Star and a Good Conduct Medal.
Bud's father Joe was a naturalized citizen and couldn't have been more proud when his only son was born on the 4th of July.
