W. F. Sanders, 69, of Askew, died May 1 at the Senatobia Community Hospital. He was a member of Cypress Corner Baptist Church where he served as Superintendent of Sunday School.

Services were held May 3 at 2 p.m. at Cypress Corner Baptist Church with interment at Longtown Cemetery. Rev. Bill Addington officiated with C. O. Pate Funeral Home in charge.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Boling Sanders of Askew; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Smith of Gulfport, MS, Mrs. Shirley Melton of Strayhorn, Mrs. Carol Jean Spencer of Tunica and Mrs. Patricia Watson of Lambert; three sons, Rufus Sanders and Aubrey Sanders both of Memphis, TN and James Sanders of Walls; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Jennings of Sarah and Tiny Conoway of Memphis; two brothers, Clarence Sanders of West Columbia, N.C and Carl Sanders of Askew; 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

His grandsons served as pallbearers.

Willietts Franklin (W.F. or Frank) Sanders was married to Gladys "Ruth" Boling. Frank was the son of Willietts Rufus "W.R." Sanders and Ellen Cordelia Johnson. He and Ruth had seven children. They are: Rufus Henderson Sanders, Aubrey "Cooter" Dale Sanders, Gladys Fay Sanders Smith, Carol Jean Sanders Spencer, Shirley Lucille Sanders Melton, James "Pete" Franklin Sanders, and Patricia Ann Sanders Self Watson.
