Longtime Askew Resident To Be Buried Today

Marks, Miss: Nov. 2--Services for Mrs. Ellen Cordelia Sanders, who died at her home in Askew Monday, will be held at her home at 10 Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Longtown Cemetery with Kimbro Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Sanders, who was 59, was born in Blue Springs, Miss. She had made her home at Askew for the past 21 years. She was a Baptist.

She leaves her husband,W. R. Sanders; four sons, W. F. Sanders of Memphis, Sgt. C. E. Sanders of the Panama Canal Zone, H. M. Sanders of West Point, Ga and Carl S. Sanders of Askew; two daughters, Mrs. R. E. Jennings of Sarah, Miss., and Mrs. H. L. Conoway of Memphis; 14 grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. C. R. Banks of Tyronza, Ark., Mrs. P. D. Carter of Memphis, Mrs. Joe Amisano of Hot Springs, Ark., and Mrs. Ruth Stockard and Mrs. Bill McGrath of Memphis and a brother, Edward Berry of Memphis.

Ellen Cordelia Johnson was the daughter of Sylvester Franklin Johnson and Josie Belle Stevens. She was married Willietts (W.R.) Sanders on December 13, 1913. She was the mother of 6 children. They were Willietts Franklin (W.F.) Sanders, Clarence Eugene Sanders, Margaret Ellen Sanders Jennings, Henry Morris Sanders, Carl Stanford Sanders, and Elizabeth Adelaide Conoway.
