Wesley A. Tamm, 81, of 210 Ryan St., Brillion, died Wednesday morning in a Green Bay hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
He was born April 10, 1891, in the Town of Brillion, son of the late August and Minnie Westphal Tamm and married Amanda Kriemann on Oct. 22, 1914.
They farmed in the Town of Brillion until 1947 when they retired and moved to the city.
Mr. Tamm was a member of Rural United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men, and had been a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, and church lay leader and trustee for many years.
He also served as treasurer of the church camp assiciation, and was a clerk and the school district and town treasurer for many years.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Frebert (Roma) Bastian, rural Brillion, and Mrs. Arlin (Elda) Redmann, Shawano; a son, Delton, rural Brillion; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and four brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Rural United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Calmer Overlien, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, from 3 p.m. Saturday, until 11:30 a.m. Sunday, and at the church after noon.
A vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Saturday.
