Frank Tamm January 28, 1957

Frank J. Tamm, 71, prominent Calumet County farmer and Methodist churchman, died of a heart attack Saturday afternoon while driving to Green Bay to visit his daughter, Mrs. Harold Zick, a patient in a hospital there.
Brown County authorities said Tamm's car left the road and crashed into a tree between De Pere and Green Bay. Death was attributed to the heart attack. he was alone at the time. Mr. Tamm's wife, Edna, also ill, is confined to Manitowoc County's Maple Crest Sanatorium at Whitelaw.
A native of the Town of Brillion, Mr. Tamm was born Sept, 11, 1885, a son of the late August and Minnie Tamm. On Nov. 10, 1910, he married the former Edna Kreimann, following which the couple lived in Wrightstown nine years and Brillion one year before taking up farming on R. 1, Brillion, in 1920. He had continued to operate the farm ever since. Mr. Tamm was active in agricultural groups, having been a past president of the Calumet County Farm Bureau. Much of his time was devoted to the Brillion Methodist and parish organization. He was a steward on the church board, former treasurer of the congregation, Sunday school superintendent, and a member of the Men's Brotherhood and the parish male quartet. In addition, he was a member of the executive board of the Brillion Camp Meeting Association (for Methodists) and, at the time of his death, president of the Bluff Cemetery Association of Brillion.
Surviving are his wife; the daughter, Mrs. Zick (Dorothy), R. 1, Brillion; two sons, Nelson, R. 1, Brillion, and Chester, at home; and five grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Wesley, Brillion. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Survives will be held at Brillion Methodist Church with the Rev. W. W. Riffe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Bluff Cemetery.
