Chloe was a budgie with a big heart. He loved to interact with people and his budgie friends. When his cagemate Kringle became ill, it was Chloe who fed, groomed, and nursed Kringle right up to the end.

Chloe was given his name as a baby by a friend's children, and when he turned out to be a "he", the name stuck anyway. He could say his name, and so could all his budgie friends! He spent his early years with cagemates Kenzie & Kringle .
Chloe loved life and enjoyed bathing in a salad bowl, sitting on his cuttlebone birdwatching wild birds, chirping with his buddies, and watching humans do strange and interesting things such as eating with utensils.

When something pleased him, Chloe would bob his head quickly and vocalize. He spent a lot of time chatting and playing with other birds and teaching younger budgies how to use bird toys and sample new foods. He was a veggie lover and especially liked corn, greens, and carrots.

Chloe was quite particular about his possessions, and if you got too close to him or something he didn't want you to bother, he would scold with that rapid-fire machine-gun vocalization that budgies use as a warning alarm.

Chloe died of kidney failure after about a week of declining health. He is missed by both budgie and human friends.
