Mrs. Mary Frances Adams, 75, widow of Claybourn Adams, died unexpectedly Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Persill, Luretha, Ky. She had been visiting in northern Kentucky and had returned to Luretha the day of her death. Born in Pulaski County, she was a daugher of the late Thomas and Patsy Spears Dick and lived her entire life in the Ringgold neighborhood. She was a good, Christian woman, a loving and devoted wife and mother and numbered her friends by her acquaintances. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Ferguson Methodist Church, the Rev. A.G. Cox officiating, assisted by the Rev. E.R. Prather. Interment was in the Collins Cemetery near Nancy. Mrs. Adams' husband preceded her in death in 1926 and a daughter, Emily Wallace Adams preceded her in death in 1919. Survivors are 10 children as follows, Mrs. Persill, Luretha, Finley Adams, Detroit, Mich., John, Jerd, and William Adams, all of West Somerset, Miss Rose Adams, Urbana, Ill., Mrs. Martha Pitman, Liberty, Mrs. Minnie Owens, Paducah, Mrs. Cora Roy, Ingle, and Silas Adams, Erlanger, Ky., also 48 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren survive.
