"William Adams, 55, died at a hospital in Detroit, Mich., Monday, August 27, after an illness of one month. Mr. Adams was born in Pulaski County in 1896, the son of Manuel and Fan Dick Adams. In 1923 he united in marriage with Miss Maggie Roy and to this union three sons were born. Twenty-eight years ago Mr. Adams moved to Detroit where he was a valued employee in the mail room at the Michigan Central Depot.

Although Mr. Adams moved away from this county several years ago, he had many friends here who will be sorry to hear of his passing. An industrious worker and faithful employee, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Roy Dick; three sons, Donald Adams, U.S. Navy, Edmon Adams, U.S. Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, and Charles Adams of Detroit; two sisters, and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at the Bethlehem church Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, with the Rev. Millard Loveless officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery."

From The Commonwealth, Somerset, Kentucky - Wednesday, August 29, 1951.
