"Willis L. Jones was the son of Willis W. and Mary Ellen (Smith) Jones. He married Myra Julia Rose on September 20, 1917. He was a veteran of the Philippine Campaign and World War I. He was a retired cattleman and well known farmer in the Linn and Macon County areas.

He is survived by his wife, Myra of the home; one sister Mrs. Leon (Dickie) Maddox; one brother, George E. Jones; two nephews and one niece of this area, Richard Rose and Brownlee Rose of Brookfield and Mrs. Harold (June) Spencer of New Cambria; and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters."
