Mrs. Maddox was born November 10, 1888, in Louisville, Kentucky. She had lived in Lawton since 1918. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School Class, and the Old Settler's Club. She was a retired civil service employee and a member of the Retired Personnel Club.
Survivors include a son, Orval Maddox of Uvalde, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Davis of Tyler, Texas; a brother, George Jones of Sapulpa; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren." Lawton Constitution (Lawton, Oklahoma), January 20, 1975
