ELKTON -- Harlan E. Rogne, 83, of Elkton, a retired area farmer, died Saturday (March 26, 1993) at Adams Healthcare Center in Adams.
Born Nov. 15, 1910, in Marshall Township, Mower County, he graduated from Elkton High School in 1927 and lived in the area all his life. On Sept. 1, 1940, he married Virginia Wood in Adams and they farmed on the family homestead in Marshall Township until 1976. They moved into Elkton in 1982. Mr. Rogne served on a number of boards, including Elkton School District 494 Board, Adams Creamery Board, Little Cedar Lutheran Church Board and the Marshall Township Board. He was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church from the time he was a child until tranferring to St. John's Lutheran Church in Elkton.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Robert of Marietta, Ga., Bruce of Stewartville, James of Elkton, Dennis of Cresco, Iowa, Barry of Northfield, Minn., and Ray of Austin; two daughters, Dixie (Mrs. Jerry) Bergstrom of Dexter and Miriam (Mrs. John) Schneider of Adams; 18 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. A son, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elkton, with the Rev. Diane Joseph officiating. Burial will in Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery in Adams.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home in Adams and an hour before the service Tuesday at the church.
