Georg was of the Catholic faith. He committed suicide, and was not permitted to be buried on consecrated ground (common Catholic practice at this time). It is unknown where or if Georg was buried, as no stone or record has been found for his burial anywhere in the area of Springfield or Martinsville. I created this memorial to honor my 4xgreat-grandfather's short and difficult life.
