On April 25, 1964 she was united in marriage to Harold Demell in Two Rivers. Carol had worked for more than 22 years at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein and for 13 years at Mirro in Manitowoc until her retirement.
Carol's greatest joy was the time she could spend with family and her many friends. She would light up any room and could always put a smile on your face with her upbeat personality.
Survivors include her husband of almost 50 years, Harry, her daughter; Julie Demell (Pete Bollenbach), Mountain, her son; Jim (Terry) Demell, Medford, two grandchildren; Anthony Pinchuk (Vanessa Ducaine), Jessica Demell (Cody Wirtala), a great granddaughter; Isabella Georgia. Carol is further survived by a sister; Janet (Richard) Tuma, Manitowoc, her mother-in-law; Eleanor Demell, Whitelaw, her in-laws; Frank (Sandy) Demell, Oakfield, Carol (Rodney) Clark, Whitelaw, Michael Lichterman, Sheboygan, along with nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Lorraine (Victor) Harding, sister-in-law; Mary Lichterman, father-in-law; George Demell.
Funeral services for Carol will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday February 15, 2014 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St., Kiel) with Joe Zenk, Parish Director at SS Peter & Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Louis Corners. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
