He was a retired patrolman with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and a retired teacher from the Continental Local School District. A man of great faith, he went home to be with the Lord following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Morgan Horse Association.
Thomas was born July 6, 1937, in Oakwood to the late Ansel and Vivian Huff Bidlack. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Evelyn Hissong Bidlack in 1979, and Phyllis Smith Bidlack in 2013; a daughter Haley Jo Bidlack, and a granddaughter, Taylor.
He is survived by his children, Thomas Bidlack Jr. of Marysville, Lauri Bidlack of Plain City, Tracy Bidlack of Flat Rock, Ind., Todd Bidlack of Powell, and Doug Bidlack of Westerville; grandchildren, Erica, Randy and Jacob; a great-grandson, Asher; siblings, Dick Bidlack of St. Paris, Jerry Bidlack of East Aurora, N.Y., Greg Bidlack of Tracy, Calif., Sandra (Bob) Cipiti of Chagrin Falls, and Kirk Bidlack of Grove City.
Calling hours will be held from 2-5 p.m. Friday at the Christian Assembly Church, Marysville, with funeral services to follow at 5 p.m., with Pastor Don Moceri officiating. The Union County Honor Guard will provide military honors at the funeral service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Oakwood.
