Services for Herbert E. Fiddelke, 70, Spencer will be held Thursday at 2 PM at the First English Lutheran Church. Pastor Reverend Ronald Meyer will officiate and burial will be at the Northlawn cemetery. Mr. Fiddelke died May 23, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital. Bearers will be Lee Holt, Lloyd Petticord, Arthur Lachner, Ed Black, Charles Lang, and Julius Unrau. Honorary bearers will be Clifford Hanson, Leroy Rusch, Orlan mincer, Dean Rutter and Walter Dettman. Mr. Fiddelke was born Dec. 31, 1906, at Germantown, the son of Fred and Sophia Stoeckmann Fiddelke. He received its education in Germantown. He married Luella S. Hoppe on April 10, 1934, at Germantown. They farmed near Paullina until 1950, at that time they moved west of Spencer and farm until he retired in 1969 and move to Spencer. He was active in church work and was active in the development of St. Luke's Lutheran home. Survivors include his widow, Luella of Spencer; one son Richard Fiddelke of Washington; four grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Fiddelke of Calumet; four sisters, Mrs. Ester Meyer of Mallard, Mrs. Lillie Bode of Primghar Mrs. Sarah Axdahl of Sioux Rapids and Mrs. Elsbeth Richter of Lime Springs. He's preceding death by his parents, two brothers, Albert and Hugo and two sisters, Ella Gebert and Ruth Steffens. The Warner funeral homes in charge of arrangements.
