He was born in Warwick, Rhode Island, the son of Carmelo and Lady G. (Ruiz) Cruz.
Carl was a self employed contractor and owner of Cruz Enterprises of Villas, New Jersey. He was a social member of the Cape May VFW and enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle.
Carl was survived by his parents; his four children; his sisters; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral service at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, New Jersey. Interment will follow at St Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, New Jersey.
