George Earl Deushane was born October 5, 1902 in Dunfermline, IL, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Deushane. His surviving siblings were Clyde and Leroy Deushane of Liverpool, IL and Mrs. Thomas Gay of Peoria.

He married the former Mabel Boston on July 25, 1936 in Edwardsville. She survived him.

He was affiliated with the Nazarene Church, and was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge AF & AM 25 of Alton. He had been an aide at the Alton State Hospital for 34 years and a resident of Alton since 1935.

Mr. Deushane died at the age of 66 at Wood River Township Hospital of injuries suffered in an accident when his car struck a parked car in Edwardsville. His funeral service was held at Smith Funeral Home in Alton.
