Dorothy Anderson Angelly, 89, of Goreville died May 23, 2008, at home. She was born Feb. 24, 1919 in Union County, Ill., a daughter of John Harrison and Elvira Viola Arnold Wheaton.

She and Audrey Anderson were married July 12, 1935. He died Aug. 3, 1990. She later married Russell Angelly.

She was a member of the Busby Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Goreville. She had been a volunteer at the Goreville Ministerial Alliance. She was a past member of the Pulaski Alexander County Home Extension. She was a volunteer with the Massac Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, two daughters, a stepson, a stepdaughter, 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, several great-stepgrandchildren, and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents,
five brothers:
Lester Wheaton
Herman Wheaton
Alfred Wheaton
Frank Wheaton
Luther Wheaton
sister, Faye Childers
and five infant siblings.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Brent Scheutz and Bob Ferguson, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
