Gary P. Diedrich, 56, of 1047 2nd St. Kiel died Saturday morning, March 1, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay after a long fight with his illness. He was born July 21, 1957 in Sheboygan, son of the late Francis "Pee Wee" & Jeannette (Loessl) Diedrich. Gary was a 1975 graduate of Kiel High School and a graduate of Lakeshore Technical College with a Associates Degree in Electronics. On July 22, 1978 he married Cheri Nennig at St. George Catholic Church, Elkhart Lake. Gary had worked at Laun Furniture Company, Kiel as well as Ross Business Equipment, Sheboygan as a Computer & Electronics Technician until his illness caused him to retire. He had a great sense of humor and was a very patient person who loved spending time with his grandchildren. When he was younger, he enjoyed photography and tinkering and fixing things in his home. More recently, he spent time at home playing games on his computer with his grandson, Archer. Survivors include his wife Cheri and children; Theresa (Brian) Post, Kiel, Paul Diedrich, Kiel, Kimberly Diedrich, Kiel and Craig Diedrich, Pierre, SD. He is further survived by two grandsons; Archer & Saxon Post, sister, Donna (Ron) Langenfeld, brother, Joe (Linda) Diedrich, Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Gary will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel with Deacon Pat Knier officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery, School Hill. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 5:45 pm when brief family rites will be held. Gary's family would like to extend their thanks to St. Vincent Hospital doctors and nursing staff as well as the staff at Davita Dialysis for the wonderful care he received.
