Born in Zici (kraj Budejovice) Bohemia in 1859. Son of Frank Kubat and Josefa Mykiska. Came to the United States around 1883. Married Katharina Bouse on August 17, 1884 at St Procopius Church in Chicago. Brother to Jakub Kubat who is also buried at Bohemian National Cemetery.
