Mrs. Frederick Burt
Mrs. Mary Starbuck Burt, 68, wife of Frederick D. Burt, of 56 Arlington Street, died early this morning at her home after a short illness.
Mrs. Burt was born in White Creek, N.Y., Dec. 25, 1879, daughter of Herbert A. and Emma Cottrell Starbuck. She attended the schools in Glens Falls, N.Y., and was married to Mr. Burt in that city on July 22, 1905. They moved to Bennington, Vt., in 1906 and resided in that village until 1912 when Mr. Burt took a position in charge of the photographic department at the GE. Mrs. Burt was a member of the Baptist Church in Glens Falls and the Order of the Eastern Star in Bennington. Most of the time in Pittsfield, the family has lived in the Dawes Avenue section.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. J.R. Meador of Pittsfield, and two grandchildren; also four sisters, Mrs. O.H. Perry of Lenox, Mrs. A.E. Hanson of Cambridge, N.Y., Mrs. G.W. Baldinger of Thompsonville, Conn., and Mrs. Albert Alden of Palmer. An only brother, H. Arthur Starbuck of Williamstown, died during the past winter.
The body rests at the Welling Funeral Home where services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1. Rev. Ralph H. Hayden, rector of St. Stephen's Church, will officiate. The body of Mrs. Burt and her brother, Mr. Starbuck, will be interred at the Cambridge, N.Y., Cemetery tomorrow afternoon.
