John Green was the son of Henderson and Georgia Ann Oder Green.In the 1900 census, he is living in the household of his father. The 1910 census has him living with his sister, Hallie Green Sowder.He married Cynthia Baker in Garrard County Kentucky on October 15, 1913. She died in Carthage Illinois, September 5, 1916 and he brought her remains back to be buried in this cemetery. The 1930 census has him living in Paint Lick Ky., Along with his brother, George and nephew, Ronald. He must have remarried between 1930 and 1934 for his death certificate lists a widow , Martha Green on it.

Note: John and Cynthia Baker had 1 daughter, Virginia Marie Green Flory. She is buried in Ohio, but there is small memorial stone next to her parents gravestone.
