Father Boniface’s first assignment was at St. Joseph’s Institute, Bristol, Virginia, then under the direction of the Benedictine Fathers, where he remained until appointed in 1915 to Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia, where he taught Latin, Greek, German, and French for 14 years.
In 1932, Father Boniface was transferred to Savannah, where after teaching for three years he was appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Church, prior of the Benedictine Community in Savannah, and rector of Benedictine School.
In 1946, Father Boniface returned to Belmont Abbey where he became a member of the faculty of Belmont Abbey College and served in various posts in the monastic community until his retirement. He died on December 7, 1974 at the age of 86.
