Mrs. Rebecca Hammer Atkinson, died at her home Monday evening of causes incident to age. She was 70 years old.
She was a daughter of Andrew and Charlotte Swenson Hammer. Mrs. Atkinson was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are her husband, James C. Atkinson; one son, Melvin James Atkinson, South Cottonwood; six daughters, Mrs. Harry A. Nelson and Mrs. George McBride, Murray; Mrs. Wilfred Davies, Taylorsville; Mrs. Ralph Priel, Union; Mrs. Bruce Harmon, Taylorsville; Mrs. Ivin S. Pate, Midvale; two brothers, Andrew P. Hammer, Salt Lake; and John H. Hammer, South Cottonwood; 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
