Mrs. Jacob Maier
The funeral for Mrs. Jacob Maier, 88, Northwood, N.D., will be there at 2 Thursday in the Swarstad Chapel of the Deaconess Nursing Home. She died Sunday. Born March 2, 1892, in Russia, Lydia Traester came to this country in 1912 and married Mr. Maier Dec. 18, 1912, at Gardner, N.D. They farmed near Upham,m N.D. for seven years before moving to Grand Forks County, N.D. where they farmed until his death in 1951. She lived at Moorhead until moving to the Deaconess Nursing Home at Northwood in 1973. Survivors include three sons and seven daughters. Albert, Henry and Marvin all Emerado, N.D.; Mrs. Lillian Welch, Eventide Nursing Home, Rose and Mrs. Esther Beck, all Moorhead; Mrs. Roy (Lena) Swenson, Northwood; Mrs. Alvin (Bertha) Hall, Bottineau, N.D.; Mrs. Gene (Juanita) Langness, Fargo; Mrs. Lyla Olson, Lake Park, Minn.; 28 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
