George died around 1880.
Elizabeth's son, Freddie, lived with his maternal grandmother, Mary Fredenburg, in 1880.
Elizabeth married her third husband, Rufus Richardson Nugent, on 27 Nov 1881 in Jersey County. They were the parents of at least 2 children. Elizabeth reported that she was the mother of 4 children by 1900, and 3 of them were still living.
The Nugent family lived in Grafton, Jersey County, Illinois, and Rufus worked as a cooper (barrel maker). He made apple barrels for many of the farmers in Jersey County.
Elizabeth was a member of the Grafton Methodist Episcopal Church. It was said that she was "widely known for her devotion to her family."
Rufus died in 1918.
In her later years, Elizabeth lived with her daughter, Alma Wedding.
Elizabeth suffered a stroke that left her paralyzed in March of 1932. By April of that year, it was reported in the newspaper that her condition was very serious.
She died at 12:30 a.m. on 27 Jun 1932 at the home of her daughter. At the time of her death, Elizabeth was 78 years, 5 months and 9 days old.
She was survived by 2 sons, Fred Grubb and Leslie Nugent, Sr.; 1 daughter, Alma Wedding; several grandchildren; 2 sisters, [Mrs. T. J.] Kennedy of East St. Louis, Illinois, and [Mrs. Frank] Calhoun of Alton, Illinois; and 1 brother, D. B. Fredenburg of East St. Louis.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on 28 Jun 1932 at the Grafton Methodist Church. Elizabeth was buried next to her husband, Rufus.

Biographical sketch of Elizabeth's father, Ephraim Fredenburg:
Ephraim Fredenburg settled in Otter Creek township in 1837. He was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1817, his parents being Aaron and Mary (Routledge) Fredenburg.
His early life was spent in his native country, where, in his youth, he learned the carpenter trade. In 1837, he came to Jersey county, Ill., and settled in Otter Creek township, where he continued to reside until his death, which occurred in January, 1880. He owned a farm of 40 acres.
He was married in 1844 to Mary A. Lofton, who was born in this county. Six children were born to them—Charles H. now living in Grafton; Catharine, wife of Charles Blish, of Jerseyville; Elizabeth J., wife of R. R. Nugent, of Grafton; Caroline C., wife of Thomas J. Cannada, of Otterville; Delevan, living at home; and Celinda, wife of Frank Calhoun, of Otterville.
Their son, Charles H., served one year in the army, during the war of the Rebellion.
Mrs. Fredenburg is a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
