Mrs. John Tinkler Committed Suicide at Sage Creek
Mrs. John Tinkler committed suicide on Friday morning by shooting herself at Al Morrison's ranch on Sage Creek, says the Billings Times. The deceased had been staying at the ranch, which is about sixty miles from Billings on the ceded portion, while on her way to Billings with her little boy. Mr. Tinkler is somewhere in the east, having been away since last June. The cause of the rash act is unknown, and various conjectures were indulged in by her acquaintances in Billings. Mr. Sweetman left this morning for the scene of the tragedy and will bring the body here for burial.
Mrs. Tinkler arrived at Billings from Deadwood in 1882, at which time she was Miss Della Sheldon and carried on a dressmaking establishment until her marriage in the summer of 1883. She was a warm-hearted impulsive woman. Both she and her husband were intensely fond of their find little boy.
