Robert "Bob" Bragg, Jr., 61, a lifelong resident of Aurora passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora. He was born in Aurora on September 23, 1952; a son of the late Robert and Rose (Peterman) Bragg, Sr. Bob graduated from East Aurora High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from the College of DuPage. He worked as an Auxiliary Police Officer for Aurora Police Dept. for six years and retired after ten years service as an Auxiliary Officer for Wheaton Police Dept. More recently, Bob was a surgical technician at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Bob enjoyed vacations to northern Wisconsin, spending time with friends and his family, and researching genealogy. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 11F. His family members include his wife: Julie Bragg of Aurora; his three children: Jason (Sarah) Bragg of Montgomery; Jennifer Bragg and Kristyn Bragg both of Washington DC; his grandson: Erik Bragg; and his brother-in-law: Thomas Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson: Alexander Jason Bragg and his sister: Mary Constance Schumaker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. Reverend Richard Mayer will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Bristol.
