Obituary
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Adam Babineaux, Jr., age 66, who passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence in Cankton.
Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton. The Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Reader will be Donald Menard.

Mr. Babineaux was a native of Bosco and a resident of Cankton. He loved telling jokes, but would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Mr. Babineaux was rough around the edges, but he had a heart full of gold. He was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Babineaux and his wife, Betty, of Duson and Fredrick Babineaux and his wife, Bonnie, of Carencro; three sisters, Dorothy B. Menard and her husband, Clayton, of Sunset, Norma B. Cormier and her husband, Aaron, and Susan B. Menard and her husband, Donald, all of Cankton; and was loved by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Babineaux, Sr. and the former Eula Marie Meche; his stepmother, Evie M. Babineaux; and two sisters, Sybil B. Babineaux and JoAnn B. Roy.

Pallbearers will be Greg Cormier, Rusty Babineaux, Nick Menard, Trent Menard, Donald Roy and Scotty Roy. Honorary pallbearers will be David Menard, Paul Cormier, Justin Moochie Cormier, Phillip Perrodin, Robert Babineaux and Amy Meche.

Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of services.
