Her family arrived in America at Ellis Island on Jan. 1, 1922. She subsequently lived in New York, New Jersey, California, Nevada and Texas, and finally moved to New Mexico in 1960. She lived in Raton until 1966, and then traveled with her husband throughout the state until they moved to Farmington in the late '70s.
Peggy married Andy Isbell on Dec. 31, 1966, in Raton. They were happily married for 29 years. He passed away on Dec. 12, 1995. She died exactly 10 years and one day after his death.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Patricia Mangum Lawrence, grandson, Jeremy Lawrence, and granddaughter, Hilary Lawrence, all of Fort Worth; good friends, Richard Lawrence of Fort Worth, and Ed and Donna Risenhoover, of La Plata. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 17, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington. Graveside services will follow, and at 1 p.m. she will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington.
