Walter Bartlett of Winterset died last Friday, Nov. 22, at a nursing home here, at the age of 76 years.
A retired farmer, Mr. Bartlett was a life-long resident of Madison county. His home had been in Winterset in recent years.
He was a son of Edwin and Sarah Richmond Bartlett, and was born in this county on Aug. 9, 1881.
Surviving are his wife, the former Julia Gates; two brothers, Harley Bartlett of Winterset and Ervin Bartlett of Seattle, Wash,' and two half brothers, Russell of Independence, Mo., and James of Detroit, Mich.
