Andrew (earlier called Anton was born in Denmark. He and his wife-to-be,Trine (sometimes called Thrina), immigrated to the United States in 1885, and were married in 1888.
Andrew an 8th grade education, and worked as a sign painter. Trine only had a 4th grade education, but education was important to them. They had two children (they lost one before 1900), but their daughter, Lillian, born in Nebraska, graduated from High School, and later continued living with them at 3006 S. 32nd Street, Ward 8, Omaha, Nebraska.
Later, in 1940, when Andrew was 72, and Trine was 71, they were retired. Lillian, 49, now supported them with her earnings as a secretary for Penn. Mutual Life Insurance (the Land Department division). In 1939 Lillian earned $1880, more than many men of her day.
Andrew died in January, 1945, at age 77. Lillian died Dec. 24, 1947, when she was about 56 years old. Lillian was cremated, and later, when Trine Talleruphus passed away in February, 1956, at age 87, Lillian's ashes were buried in her mother's grave, next to Andrew's remains.
