Rosalie always thought that she had a calling to a "priestly ministry" She was the first woman with children in the U.S. to receive a Master of Divinity degree from a Catholic University. She graduated cum laude from the Jesuit School of Theology, Loyola of Chicago.

She was an organizer and leader of the Women's Ordination Conference. The conference has for many years had dialogue with church hierarchy to obtain equality for women in the Catholic Church. This movement continues, but after many years of effort and disappointments, Rosalie moved to focus her energy on supporting the elder community.

She has been a national leader in the Sage-ing Guild and has received awards for her efforts. The guild is trying to change the paradigm from age-ing to sage-ing. Its focus is to counter the age-ism in a positive way and promote the self-worth of the elderly.

Rosalie has influenced many people positively. She lived a life if being "present". Present to family, friends, students, support groups, causes to promote women's rights and equality, church, elders and the poor and marginalized.

Though always active, her most important priority was her husband Alfred, her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed 58 years of marriage with her beloved Alfred. For many, their relationship represented a true loving union.

Her family honored her for all her lifetime efforts by caring and placing her name on the National Women's Hall of Fame, Wall of Fame

Without a doubt, Rosalie fulfilled her calling to a "priestly ministry". Her legacy will live on forever.

Please always remember Rosalie with a smile and much love.
