Celia Black, 94, of Toledo passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Arbors of Sylvania. Celia was born on February 13, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio to parents Louis and Rebecca Schwartz. She was a graduate of Woodward High School class of 1938.She married Henry Black on August 9, 1953; in which they enjoyed thirty-five happy years of marriage together.She was a past president of Congregation Etz Chayim Sisterhood, and N'amat Pioneer Women. Surviving are her sons, Gerald, Louis (Rochelle) and Jeffrey (Cathryn); eight grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; son, Gilbert; sisters, Ida, Hazel, Gertrude (Tick) and brother, Charles.Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014, in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-535-5840). Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, OH. Following services friends will be received in the home of Louis and Rochelle Black.Contributions can be made to Congregation Etz Chayim, in lieu of flowers.
