George M. Wheeler, 81 of Atkins, Arkansas departed this life Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 11, 1932 at Dillon, Arkansas to John and Mary Jane Hampton Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David Wheeler and Jerry Carter; seven brothers; two sisters; a granddaughter, Michelle Wheeler; great-granddaughter, Skylar Johnson; great-grandson, Christian Johnson.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Trilla Wheeler; two sons and daughters in-law, Roger and Judi Wheeler, Daniel and Lacreta Wheeler; one daughter and son in-law, Delores and Harold Bryan; two brothers, Sam and Raymond Wheeler; his twin sister, Emoline Chisum; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and lots of family and friends.
The funeral service was on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Broussard Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. David Hutchins.
Burial was in Coleman Cemetery in Pelsor, Arkansas under the direction of Broussard Funeral Home of Russellville.
Pallbearers were Darryl Wheeler, Landon Wheeler, Cary Wheeler, Doyle Tennison, Scott Bryan and Danny Carey. Honorary Pallbearers were, Paul Hutchins, Cameron Bennett, Milton Wheeler
